Evaluation of kidney stone treatment results through reverse endoscopy of holmium laser soft tube pebble dispenser at viet tiep friendship hospital and Hai Phong international general hospital

Abstract

Objectives: Evaluation of early results of Holmium laser soft tube upstream endoscopy at Huu Nghi Viet Tiep Hospital - Hai Phong International Polyclinic.


Methods: 55 patients were diagnosed with kidney stones and treated with Holmium laser upstream lithotripsy at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital and General Surgery Department of Hai Phong International Hospital divided into 2 groups: The retrospective study (including 36 patients taken from October 2017 to October 2019) and the prospective study (including 19 patients taken from November 2019 to June 2020). The results of the method's effectiveness are immediate and early results after 2 weeks. Statistical data were entered and processed using SPSS 20.0 software.


Results: The rate of clean gravel after canopy reached 73.09%, after 2 weeks, this rate was 89.47%. The average canopy time is 73.28 ± 25.36 minutes. The average length of hospital stay was 5.96 ± 1.90 days. Complications and complications: Clavien level 0 war 94.54%; Clavien level 1 accounts for 3.64% (1 case of bleeding after canopy accounts for 1.82%).
