The Effects Treatment Of Primary Knee Osteoarthritis By Infrared Lights Sauna Mugwort Combined Electric Acupuncture

Abstract
Objective: 1. Survey on clinical characteristics according to modern medicine and traditional medicine of primary knee osteoarthritis. 2. Evaluation of treatment effect of primary knee osteoarthritis by infrared lights sauna mugwort with electric acupunture.
Subjects and research methods: 60 patines diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis, volunteer for research. Researchers combined using infrared lights sauna mugwort with electric acupunture, hydro-acupunture, while control group was treated with electric acupuncture and hydro-acupuncture. The implementation period is from June 2021 to December 2021 at the Department of Traditional Medicine, Ha Dong General Hospital, 20 days of treatment. Comparing the results before and after treatment.
Results: The average age is 68,32 years, common in women (65%), common clinical symptoms are pain (100%), limiting movement (100%), average VAS score is 4.53, average overall WOMAC score 44.8, the movement of the knee is 123,2 degrees. Symptoms of cold weather are more painful 81,7%, low back pain 68,3%, dizziness 51,7%. Post treatment result showed that VAS from 4,53 points to 1,07 points, the range of motion improved from 123,2 degrees to 135,03 degrees, average overall WOMAC decreased score from 44,8 points to 21,73 points.
Conclusion: The method of treating primary knee osteoarthritis by infrared lights sauna mugwort with electric acupunture reduce pain, improve knee function well and safely.
