Abstract

Objective: To describe the current status of Covid-19 prevention knowledge of students and postgraduate students of Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine in 2020.


Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 2005 4th, 5th, and 6th year students and postgraduate students studying at the Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine in the academic year 2019-2020. Research period was from April 2020 to October 2020.


Results: Rate of correct understanding: disease characteristics (>99%), incubation time (46.9%); case definition (> 91%); viability of SARS-CoV-2 in different environments (>57%); principles of disease prevention (>65%). The general percentage with good knowledge about Covid-19 prevention was 51.86%. The


good understanding of students in the 5th and 6th years were 62.0% and 59.6%, respectively; in the 4th and postgraduate students were 33.3% and 30.1%, respectively.


Conclusion: In general, the knowledge of students and postgraduate students about Covid-19 prevention was still limited.
