Evaluation the effectiveness of auricular acupressure for smoking cessation at national Hospital of traditional medicine in 2020

Abstract
Objective: To determine the effectiveness of auricular acupressure in smoking cessation treatment, monitor the unwanted effects of treatment.
Methods: Perspective clinical trial, comparisons of pre - post treatment in 28 days.We prospectively analyzed 30 patients in National Hospital of Traditional Medicine who were addicted to smoking between June 2020 and September 2020.
Results: After 28 days of treatment, 46.7% of the cases were very good, 20% were good, 33.3 % were ineffective. Conclusion: Auricular acupressure treatment plays a role in decreasing levels of CO in patients’ breath after smoking cessation and symptoms of withdrawal syndrome (craving in smoking, irritable, poor concentration,
poor sleep at night...).
