Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: Determine the relationship between the traditional medical form with the quality of life and construct the math map of quality-of-life prognosis on knee osteoarthritis patients.
Methods: The cross-sectional descriptive study analyzed 203 patients diagnosed with osteoarthritis who visited and received inpatient treatment at Tue Tinh Hospital between July 2020 and March 2021. The Study patients received administrative information, physical examination, indicated knee X-rays, and responded to the SF-36 survey. Results were assessed by the quality of life classification: Good, Fair, Average, and Poor. The collected data were processed using SPSS 20.0 software.
Results: The relationship between the form of traditional medicine with the quality of life shows that: “Feng han shi bi” + “Gan Shen xu” is the highest with 80.5%; followed by the low heat “Feng shi re bi” + “Gan Shen xu” (66.7%) and the last is “Feng han shi bi” (Good 37.8%). In 12 BMA analysis models, there are 5 best models, in which, model 1 with 3 variables: The duration of the disease over 1 year is 3,692 × 10-1; BMI> 23 is -8,495 × 10-1; VAS pain score above 5 points is 2,197 × 10-1; This model explains 74.3% of the variance of prognosis of SF-36 in patients with osteoarthritis and the lowest BIC with -1.550 × 103.
Conclusion: The best quality of life in the group of patients with osteoarthritis of the “Feng han shi bi” + “Gan Shen xu”, the lowest in the group of patients with “Feng han shi bi”. The Nomogram prognosis of quality of life for osteoarthritis patients is built on factors: VAS pain score, BMI, duration of illness. The probability of correctly predicting the prognostic domain was 90% with a sensitivity of 78.8% and a specificity of 60%.
