Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effect of “TLHV” capsule on biochemical and histopathological in experimental studies.

Subjects and research methods: An experimental study with a control group. Semi-permanent toxicity study in rats according to WHO guidelines for traditional medicine [1]. White rats 30, divided into 3 groups, rats were given water, capsules "TLHV" dose 0.56g/kg/day and 1.68g/kg/day once a day, continuously for 30 days. Then were monitored and checked blood biochemical indicators before taking the drug, after 30 days of taking the drug. After 30 days of taking the drug, rats were operated on to observe the whole organ system. Randomly examine the microstructure of liver, spleen, and kidney of at least 30% of mice in each group.

Results: In the groups of mice taking “TLHV” Capsules at doses of 0.56g/kg/day and 1.68g/kg/day continuously for 30 days, there was no statistically significant difference compared to with controls in blood biochemical index including AST, ALT, total cholesterol, creatinine and plasma albumin. Histopathological images of the liver, spleen, and kidney were normal.

Conclusion: Capsules “TLHV” are safe with dosage levels and duration of use in experimental studies.
