Evaluate the effect of ngan kieu tan product in supportive treatment for covid-19 patients in the early stage at Bac Giang hospital of tradional medicine

Abstract

Objectives: Evaluating the effect of the product Ngan Kieu Tan increase or decrease in supporting the treatment of Covid-19 patients in the early stage at Bac Giang Hospital of Traditional Medicine.


Subjects and research methods: Clinical intervention study, comparison before - after treatment. Conduct: 70 patients were treated with Ngan Kieu Tan increase or decrease product and treatment regimen of Modern medicine. The effectiveness of the method is evaluated based on the change in the index: vital signs of the body, change in medical conditions change in paraclinical index and the overall treatment effect at day 7 after the end of treatment.


Results: After 7 days of treatment, the patient's mean temperature decreased from 37.62 ± 0.51 to 36.70 ± 0.24 (p<0.05); good improvement of traditional medicine conditions such as fever, dry throat, loose stools, apple defecation, fear of heat, fear of cold, dry mouth and thirst, nausea or vomiting (p<0.05) and fatigue, stuffy nose, dry cough, sore throat (p<0.01). Paraclinical indicators change is not statistically significant when comparing before and after treatment (p>0.05). After 7 days of treatment the rate of patients with good effect was 52.86%, quite good 31.43%, average was 2.86%, there were no patients with poor efficiency.


Conclusion: Products of “Ngan Kieu Tan gia giam” effective in improving the symptoms of Covid-19 patients in the early stage
