Đánh giá hiệu quả hỗ trợ điều trị suy thượng thận mạn do corticoid của bài thuốc Hữu quy hoàn trên lâm sàng

Abstract

Objectives: Evaluating the effectiveness of Huu quy hoan in the treatment of glucocorticoid induced adrenal insufficiency in clinical practice.

Subjects and methods: A prospective, open clinical intervention trial on 70 patients (≥18 years old) with glucocorticoid induced adrenal insufficiency at Tue Tinh Hospital and National Hospital of Endocrinology from June 2022 to March 2023.

Results: After treatment with Huu quy hoan, the maintenance dose of glucocorticoid replacement therapy in the study group was lower than that in the control group (p<0.05). Moreover the patients’s clinical symptoms in the study group were improved comparing to the control group (p<0.001).

Conclusions: Adding Huu quy hoan to the treatment of chronic adrenal insufficiency can improve patients’s symptoms, reduce maintenance dose of glucocorticoid replacement therapy.
