Researching on the anti-peptic ulcer effect of Murdannia nudiflora (L.) brenan extract in experiment
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the anti-peptic ulcer effect of ethyl acetate extract of Murdannia nudiflora (L.) Brenan (MNC2) in experiment.
Subjects and methods: MNC2 that met the basic quality standard was used to conduct the experiment on the model of peptic ulcers caused by indomethacin.
Results: The MNC2 tended to reduce the number of lesions compared to the model group, but the difference is not statistically significant (p>0.05). It reduced the ulcer index compared to the model group, with a statistically significant difference in the high dose group (p<0.05).
Conclusions: MNC2 protects the gastric mucosa in the model of peptic ulcers caused by indomethacin in white rats. At a dose of 360 mg/kg, it has the effect of inhibiting ulcers 25.25% compared to the model group. However, this dose has not yet been shown to improve the level of some microscopic lesions.
