Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the anti-gastric ulcer effect of the remedy Sai ho so can thang combined with O boi thang in experiment.


Subject and methods: Evaluating the anti-gastric ulcer effect of the remedy Sai ho so can thang combined with O boi thang on an experimental model of gastric ulcer induction with Aspirin combined with pyloric ligation in white rats, according to the tissue method. Described by Vijayakumar AR et al (2016) with modifications.


Results: The remedy Sai ho so can thang combined with O boi thang at both dosage levels (9.24 g/kg/day and 18.48 g/kg/day, calculated based on dry medicinal herbs) is effective. Good in treating gastric ulcers in the Asprin ulcer model combined with pyloric ligation in rats, the ulcer index decreased statistically significantly compared to the model group (p < 0.05).


Conclusions: The remedy Sai ho so can thang combined with O boi thang has good effects in treating gastric ulcers in the ulcer model using Asprin combined with pyloric ligation in rats.
