Mức độ tiêu thụ và một số tồn tại trong sử dụng kháng sinh nhóm quinolon tại bệnh viện Kiến An - thành phố Hải Phòng năm 2021

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the consumption status and some unreasonable issues in using quinolone antibiotics at Kien An Hospital - Hai Phong in 2021.

Subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study and data collection on the use of quinolone antibiotics at Kien An Hospital - Hai Phong City from January 2021 to June 2021.

Results: The consumption levels of quinolone antibiotics throughout Kien An Hospital in 2021 were as follows: Total consumption: 9.19 DDD/100 bed-days, with levofloxacin having the highest consumption at 5.12 DDD/100 bed-days. Some existing issues in the use of quinolone antibiotics at Kien An Hospital in 2021 were as follows: 13.3% of patients received antibiotics before obtaining microbiological culture results, 16.9% of patients were not evaluated for renal function after antibiotic use, drug interactions accounted for 7.5% of prescriptions, and imported drugs accounted for 62.74% of the total hospital expenditure.

Conclusion: The consumption of quinolone antibiotics at Kien An Hospital ranked third, with injectable antibiotics being the most commonly used. Some existing issues in the use of quinolone antibiotics include the use of antibiotics before obtaining culture results, incomplete evaluation of renal function, occurrence of serious drug interactions, failure to comply with prescribed administration routes, and a high proportion of imported drugs.
