Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the analgesic effects of GS-TVB massage solution combined with electroacupuncture and acupressure in the treatment of spinal degeneration-induced low back pain.


Subjects and methods: A prospective, open clinical trial was conducted on 60 patients diagnosed with low back pain due to spinal degeneration, treated at the Lao Cai Traditional Medicine Hospital, with results comparison before and after treatment between two groups. 


Results: After 14 days of treatment, the study group showed a significant reduction in the average VAS score, from 5.92 ± 0.96 to 1.39 ± 0.42 which was better than the control group, whose scores decreased from 5.78 ± 0.85 to 1.88 ± 0.56. The difference was statistically significant, with p<0.05.


Conclusion: GS-TVB massage solution, when combined with electroacupuncture and acupressure, has an analgesic effect on patients with spinal degeneration-induced low back pain.
