Đánh giá tác dụng của bài thuốc Phong thấp NK kết hợp điện châm điều trị đau lưng do thoái hóa cột sống

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the remedy Phong thap NK in treating back pain caused by degenerative spinal, associated with wind-cold-dampness and kidney deficiency. To monitor adverse effects of the method.

Subjects and methods: A clinical intervention trial was conducted on 60 patients, including a control group. The research group (30 patients) was treated with the remedy Phong thap NK combined with electroacupuncture. The control group (30 patients) was treated with the remedy Doc hoat ky sinh thang combined with electroacupuncture.

Results: The electroacupuncture method combined with the remedy Phong thap NK is effective in treating back pain caused by spinal degeneration by: improving VAS index, range of motion of the lumbar spine, lumbar spine elasticity, improving daily living functions and clinical symptoms according to traditional medicine. Overall treatment effectiveness: 56.3% of the research group had good results; 36.9% had fair results, 6.8% had average results. No adverse effects were observed in clinical and paraclinical assessments.

Conclusion: Electroacupuncture combined with the remedy Phong thap NK is an effective and safe treatment method for back pain caused by spinal degeneration.
