EVALUATING THE EFFECT OF IMPROVING FUNCTIONALITY AND ADVERSE EFFECTS OF ELECTROACUPUNCTURE COMBINED WITH DRUG-DELIVERY ELECTROLYSIS IN THE TREATMENT OF SIMPLE PERIARTHRITIS OF THE SHOULDER

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of improving functionality and adverse effects of electroacupuncture combined with drug-delivery electrolysis in the treatment of simple periarthritis of the shoulder.
Subjects and methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial on 60 patients diagnosed with simple periarthritis of the shoulder treated at Quang Ninh Traditional Medicine Hospital, divided into two groups, the study group treated with electroacupuncture combined with drug-conducting electrolysis. The control group treated with electroacupuncture, 20-day treatment course.
Results: After 20 days of treatment, the study group achieved better results than the control group (p<0.05). In the study group, treatment results were very good, reaching 6.7%; good reached 76.7%; good reached 16.7%, this result was higher than in the control group: good reached 10%; quite good at 90%. There are no adverse clinical effects.
Conclusion: Using electroacupuncture combined with drug delivery electrolysis is safe and effective in treating simple shoulder periarthritis.
