Abstract

Objectives: Evaluation of results of care for patients with lumbar spondylosis at Tue Tinh hospital in 2021.

Methods: A prospective descriptive study on 217 patients with lumbar spondylosis who came for examination and inpatient treatment at Tue Tinh hospital from October 2020 to the end of September 2021. Patients participating in the study were collected information General characteristics, follow-up, treatment and care in

hospital. Outcomes of care were evaluated according to the following criteria: VAS pain score (Visual Analog Scale), flexion range of motion, supine range of motion, Oswestry disability score (ODI), results of take care of. Collected data were processed using SPSS 20.0 software.

Results: Overall take care of outcomes in the study were 70% good, 20% fair, 10% moderate. After care, all groups of diseases have good results, including: 100% acute back pain; chronic back pain 60.4%; Lumbar hip pain is 70.0% and low back syndrome has 67.2%. The rate of pain-free was 34% and mild pain was 66.0%. The range of motion of bending, supine, tilting, and rotating the lumbar spine has a significant improvement after care, corresponding to 87.0%; 81.3%; 73.3% and 84.0%. The ODI score had a good improvement after care with 76.7% of patients returning to normal and only 23.4% of patients with mild limitation of movement.

Conclusion: Caring for patients with lumbar spondylosis is an important factor in reducing clinical symptoms and increasing the quality of life of patients with lumbar spondylosis.
