Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effect of “Thai binh HV” remedy on the blood biochemical indices to assess liver and kidney function and histopathological images of liver, spleen, and kidney.


Methods: Wistar rats were given “Thai binh HV” at doses of 11.90 g/kg/day and 35.70 g/kg/day, daily


during 30 days. Testing blood biochemical indicators ALT, AST, billlirubin TP, albumin, cholesterol TP, creatinine at 3 times: before taking the drug, after 15 days and after 30 days of taking the drug. Macroscopic and microscopic images of liver, spleen, and kidney of rats were evaluated at the end of the experiment. the extract of Thai binh HV remedies with doses of 11.90 g/kg/day and 35.70 g/kg/day, daily during 30 days to rats.


Results: There was no statistically significant difference when comparing blood biochemical indices between groups at the same time as well as in each group between the evaluation times. Macroscopic and histopathological images liver, spleen, and kidneys were normal.


Conclusion: The “Thai binh HV” remedy did not affect liver, kidney function and histopathology of liver, spleen and kidney at the doses of 11.90 g/kg/day and 35.70 g/kg/day and usage time 30 date in experimental study on wistar rats.
