Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of Jin’s San Zhen method in treating patients with periarthritis humeroscapularis.

Subjects and methods: A prospective descriptive study was conducted on 60 patients diagnosed with periarthritis humeroscapularis at Bach Mai Hospital from January 2025 to November 2025. The study group (n=30) received the baseline protocol combined with Jin’s San Zhen; the control group (n=30) received only the baseline protocol (analgesics and massage).

Results: After treatment, the average VAS score in the study group significantly decreased from 5,63 ± 1,01 to 1,03 ± 0,32 compared to the control group (5,8 ± 1,19 to 2,07 ± 0,94). Shoulder range of motion and daily activities in the study group improved more significantly than in the control group (p<0.05). No adverse effects were recorded. Conclusion: The combination of Jin’s San Zhen and the baseline protocol has been shown to improve pain symptom and shoulder range of motion in treating periarthritis humeroscapularis.
