Evaluation of the effectiveness of the method Of catgut embedding therapy combined with physical therapy for patients with simple periarthritis of the shoulder At Ha Dong general hospital

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the method of Catgut embedding therapy combined with physical therapy for patients with simple periarthritis of the shoulder and to observe the unexpected effects of treatment.
Subjects and research methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted on 60 patients
with simple periarthritis of the shoulder, who were under the treatment at Ha Dong Hospital from June 2021 to December 2021. The patients were divined into 2 groups. Study group were treated with catgut embedding therapy (LI-15, G-21, TE-14, LI-11, SI-11, SI-9, PC-2, PE-5, LU-1) combined with physical therapy, while the control group were treated with catgut embedding therapy (LU-4, LI-15, TE-14, LI-11, SI-11, SI-9, LU-14, PE- 5) combined with physical therapy during a 14 – day course of treatment.
Results: After 14 days of treatment, the study group achieved better results than the control (p <0,05). In terms of the study group, very good results reached 30% of the total patients, good accounted for 63,3%. Regarding to the control group, 20% of the total patients were reported for very good results, good results consisted of 70% and. No clinical adverse effects were reported.
Conclusion: The treatment of using catgut embedding therapy in combination with physical therapy is safe and effective for patients with simple periarthritis of the shoulder.
